Colorado icon Deion Sanders is swiftly recovering after undergoing surgery, and the presence of his cherished loved ones has undoubtedly expedited his healing process. After bidding farewell to the hospital environment a few weeks ago, Sanders welcomed his 56th birthday on August 9th, celebrating alongside his sweetheart, Tracey Edmonds. However, this birthday celebration was distinctive, as the birthday man himself orchestrated a surprise that left a lasting memory on his beloved.

Reflecting on the occasion, Tracey Edmonds shared a photo on her Instagram, featuring herself and the 56-year-old Colorado figure, and wrote, “In Colorado, celebrating My One and Only”s @deionsanders birthday! Please wish him a Happy Birthday for me!!” She continued, “This AMAZING Man wouldn’t let me plan anything for him. Instead, he planned an INCREDIBLE dinner for me with all of my favorite dishes!! I was blown away!!! Thank you Baby!! 🙏🏽”

Former football coach Urban Meyer, a couple of days ago, visited Boulder before the college football season, aiming to meet Deion Sanders and observe the Colorado Buffaloes team. Meyer’s perspective on the program underwent a positive transformation during this visit. He was pleasantly surprised by the roster’s talent, even identifying potential star players.

Since Coach Prime took over, the Colorado Buffaloes have garnered attention in college football, both positively and negatively. Coach Prime’s impact was significant; he encouraged players to enter the transfer portal upon joining and revamped the roster with highly-ranked transfer players, including Travis Hunter, Sav’ell Smalls, and two of Sanders’ sons, Shedeur and Shiloh. This approach to roster management and the transfer portal drew both praise from Meyer and criticism, including opposition from Week 2 rival Matt Rhule at Nebraska.

Nonetheless, $29.5 million Coach Prime remained steadfast in his strategy to enhance the team’s talent pool.
