It’s been a roller coaster ride for Russell Wilson since last season. A $245 million five-year signing, the Denver Broncos expected their blockbuster signing to shine on the field since day 1, just like how he played at the Seattle Seahawks. But that was not the case, as Wilson went on to put the worst career stats for his Broncos debut season. Now, Russell Wilson will be looking forward to redemption, as he puts all his efforts into the offseason to be at the top of his game in the 2023 season.

And amidst all the preparations and training, he takes his time to celebrate another milestone of his life. Something that is related to his love for football. And something that also helps in shaping kids to be the future stars of the NFL.

Apart from his own footballing career, the Broncos QB has been helping young kids hone their talents for playing football for years. Back when he was a junior in high school, Wilson started the Russell Wilson Passing Academy in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. And ever since, he’s hosted camps in Chicago and Los Angeles, as well as international camps in places like Europe and China. Now, Wilson recently celebrated another successful year of his Pass Academy.

The 34-year-old QB recently hosted the 12th edition of his Pass Academy on June 3 at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. In a post shared by Wilson on his Instagram, we see clips of young kids engaging in different football drills, as they brush up their footballing skills under the mentorship of the QB and other volunteers from the Broncos. In the caption, he expressed his gratitude to his teammates and coaches for lending a helping hand at the camp.

Amidst the success of the camp, the QB will also be looking forward to his own redemption after a dismal Broncos debut.

Is 2023 the year for Wilson?

Russell Wilson has been putting in the work to prove himself as a worthy QB for the Broncos. He also recently shared a post of OTAs with the team, where we see him practicing with RB Javonte Williams, who is also rehabbing after his knee injury from last year. Wilson also went under the knife to address the persistent knee injuries from the past few seasons. And he also seems to have lost some weight, as he gears up to be stronger than ever for the upcoming new season of the league. After the team signed Sean Payton as the HC, the 34-year-old QB will be looking to impress the new HC, in order to retain his spot as QB1 on the team.

Payton also signed Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci as backup plans in case Wilson fails to impress him in the 2023 season. Do you think Russell Wilson can get his former glory back? Let us know in the comments below.
