The Dallas Cowboys are already the frontrunners to land star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Since becoming a free agent this summer, the Super Bowl LVI champion’s next destination in the league was a constant point of discussion. And finally, Odell has narrowed it down to two or three options. However, Cowboys legend Troy Aikman thinks it’s not even close for other teams.

Former NFL legend and Dallas’ 1990s dynasty’s quarterback, Troy Aikman, is still proud of his Cowboys heritage. And he has faith in his organization’s abilities to lure Odell Beckham Jr. away from the rest of the competing franchises. Especially, Cowboys owner, President and GM, Jerry Jones. Troy Aikman thinks Jerry is persuasive if not anything and will do anything necessary to land OBJ.

If he’s [Jerry Jones] wanted something to happen, it’s happened,” said Aikman, who won his three Super Bowls with Dallas after Jerry Jones took over the ownership in 1989. And it wasn’t just the owner. The legendary QB also thinks Odell Beckham Jr.’s personal ambitions will be best fulfilled by America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Are the Cowboys the best side for Odell Beckham Jr.?

In the 26 years of ownership, billionaire owner Jerry Jones has transformed the franchise. He took them from a financially haemorrhaging unit to the most expensive sporting franchise in the world. The Dallas Cowboys are worth a record high of $8 billion. And Troy Aikman thinks the New York Giants or the Buffalo Bills cannot do what Jerry and the Cowboys can do.

Odell Beckham Jr. loves the spotlight. And Aikman knows that about the wide receiver. Troy thinks Odell will have a hard time saying no to the Cowboys’ unmatched popularity. Along with a dynamic offense led by Dak Prescott, OBJ can be the perfect threat on the receivers’ front with Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup. With Tony Pollard running the ball masterfully this season and Micah Parsons having a potential DPOY season, the 8-3 Cowboys are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

The Giants drafted Odell in 2014 and can offer the WR a desirable long-term contract. However, the multiple on-field and off-field factors have convinced Troy Aikman of OBJ’s final decision. “If I was betting, I’d bet virtually everything I have on it,” Troy said. Odell Beckham Jr. is meeting with the Giants and the Buffalo Bills this weekend and has scheduled the Dallas meeting for Monday, according to Tom Pelissero.
