The Kansas City Chiefs have become a mainstay in the Super Bowl in recent history. And the fans give all the credit for that to their QB Patrick Mahomes. But Trevor Lawrence always has different things to say. And the Jacksonville Jaguars QB feels that the Chiefs are really underrated in one dominating aspect that has nothing to do with Mahomes.
The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona on Sunday. And the aspect pointed out by Lawrence could play a major role in getting their hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy that day.

The Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence joined NFL Total Access ahead of the mouthwatering Super Bowl clash between the Chiefs and the Eagles. He pointed out one aspect that could tilt the balance of the historic clash in the Chiefs’ favor in a game dominated by both offenses. And that is the Chiefs’ defense.
“I think [Chiefs defense] is really underrated. I got to see it firsthand. They do some really good things to make it challenging; Chris Jones up front, their secondary has been playing really well,” Lawrence said on NFL Total Access.
But he acknowledged the towering presence of Patrick Mahomes on the other side of the ball. Lawrence said that Mahomes has played at this stage before and has a lot of experience. “And they got Patrick, who’s been there before and has a lot of experience,” the Jaguars QB added.
The Chiefs are playing their third Super Bowl game in the last four years in the Mahomes era. They won the big game in the 2019 season but lost at the same stage the very next year. So, the franchise has the experience of being on both sides of the stick. But the Eagles will present a different kind of challenge.
