On Sunday, the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs squared off. By a score of 28-34, Kansas City thrashed the Broncos. The 10-year veteran became the fifth tight end in NFL history to accumulate 10,000 receiving yards in a career, aside from the intriguing game. Travis Kelce appears to be gradually displacing future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski from the title of top tight end.

Lead QB, Patrick Mahomes, found the 33-year-old for a 38-yard catch in the first quarter of the game. After that, Kelce possessed the ball right over the middle and scurried right to the field for a significant gain. The fans have watched the seven-time Pro Bowler make the play numerous times throughout his career.
Travis Kelce has eclipsed 10,000 career receiving yards, becoming the 5th TE in NFL history to reach that milestone and the fastest TE to get there (140 games, 37 fewer than everyone else).

Before entering the game, the Kansas City great was short of 26 yards. And after making the catch, have entered the exclusive club of tight ends who have reached the mark of 10,000 yards. The other four NFL tight ends who are on the list are Tony Gonzalez (15,127 yards), Jason Witten (13,046 yards), Antonio Gates (11,841 yards), and Shannon Sharpe (10,060 yards).
His total stats in the 2022 season were 968 yards and 12 touchdowns before playing against the Broncos. With the catch that brought him over 1,000 yards for the season and over 10,000 for his career, Kelce reached the 1,000-yard mark for the seventh consecutive year. Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, and Witten are tied for second place among tight ends with four seasons of 1,000 yards each, but no other tight end comes close to Kelce in that particular statistic.

Travis Kelce also surpassed future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski’s record during the game against the Chargers. His touchdown catch contributed to the game’s 30-27 victory. He also passed 100 yards for the 33rd time in his career thanks to his catches. In the list of tight ends who have made such plays in NFL history, this thus broke a tie with Gronk.
