The one and only Patrick Mahomes
After the Chiefs thumped the 49ers 44-23 at Levi’s Stadium, Patrick Mahomes gave a sideline interview. He credited the whole team for the win against the number one overall defense.
“Yeah, we realized early that they are going to be aggressive and come down and force us to win over the top. So, I was proud of the guys. There are guys who haven’t been here and still showed that we can win over the top and still be the Kansas City Chiefs that everybody knows,” Mahomes said.
When asked about his learnings after doubts over the personnel changes in the team, Mahomes said there is competition everywhere.
Travis Kelce interrupted Mahomes mid-interview and said, “Patrick Mahomes, the one and only.”
The interview won the hearts of the NFL world on Twitter. Fans hailed the performance and the bond between both the Chiefs stars.
