The Super Bowl LVII champions, Kansas City Chiefs, are training hard with less than a week to kick-offs. While the star QB Patrick Mahomes is excited, the team’s TE Travis Kelce is dealing with what’s ‘about to ensue’ training camp. According to the word coming out of the Chiefs training camp, the tight end got furious at one of his teammates.
This was after he recently made the news with his Philadelphia Eagles brother Jason for their podcast “New Heights,” talking about training camps.
Just the seventh day into the camp, this is Kelce’s second one in a row, and fans wait with bated breath at what’s happening on the field. After all, the team is hosting the first game in less than 144 hours, and it feels like the drama is high, just like the adrenaline.

Things are heating up at the City Chief’s drills session as altercations rise between tight end Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’s other teammates. Yesterday, during a red zone play, #QB1 found Kelce for a touchdown, but things turned drastically. After his ‘heated session’ with defensive back Dicaprio Bootle on Friday, the eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion didn’t take kindly to Jack Cochrane’s late hit. It was when he claimed the ball inside the endzone, resulting in a physical altercation.

The atmosphere was definitely charged, as shown in a video posted to X (before Twitter) by Chiefs Wire’s Nicolas Roesch. Captioned, “Mahomes to Kelce, little chirping after the catch,” the TE can be seen swinging on Cochrane. The two were seen in an angry, heated conversation before cornerback Trent McDuffie pulled the two apart. This incident is the second in a row after Travis got “agitated” with the referee on Friday. Per Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride, it was due to “more extracurricular activity than usual.”
After all, the eleven-year veteran’s own words from his previous week’s podcast are coming true. He had said, “I am looking forward to shitshow that’s about to ensue. Yeah, I mean, training camp is such a mindf*k,” and looks like “this is gonna f*king suck,” but the Chiefs TEU is ‘gonna love every second of it.’ Though these tussles are as every day as it gets, the Chiefdom hopes the players don’t get serious injuries. In the end, the team wouldn’t want to collapse in the middle like the Cincinnati Bengals after Joe Burrow’s calf strain days before kick-off.

The Bengals’ hope is hanging on balance with Joe Burrow’s injury
With just 144 hours to preseason kick-offs, NFL teams are hard at their training camps. And every player shares the common goal of avoiding injuries that could prematurely end their journey. But unfortunately, on Thursday, Bengals #QB1 Joe Burrow sustained a non-contact injury during the 11-on-11 drills as he grabbed his lower leg before being transported away from the session.

Currently, the team appears to have taken a “wait-and-see” approach towards this matter, as confirmed by Trent Taylor in an interview with FOX19, “I think a lot of guys after the first day have some soreness. He was scrambling. Guys go down with an injury. This could be a day thing; who knows? There are a lot of guys that had soreness today that had their reps cut down a little bit. That’s just part of football in training camp.” As a team’s hope to make the division is in jeopardy, Chiefdom hopes their dream team sets caution and prevents their hopes from being crushed with tussles that might lead to any injury.
