Travis Kelce recently hosted SNL and he might have brought back a funnybone or two from there. While on his podcast, ‘New Heights’, with his brother Jason Kelce, the brothers made fun of Aaron Rodgers and his Darkness retreat. While the NFL world was patiently waiting for Rodgers’ answers, he went to search for them in quite literally a dark pit. The brothers took advantage of this and went on to make some interesting digs at the veteran quarterback for his behavior.
While on the podcast, the brothers did not hold back as they discussed various aspects of Rodgers’ process to make a decision about free agency. The brothers had no restraint on their comic timing as they mocked Rodgers’ retreat.

The Kelce brothers spare no expense on their Aaron Rodgers joke
While it is common for analysts and fans to make jokes about the way players act, it is uncommon to see jokes from fellow players. However, the Super Bowl brothers took their jokes to the next level as they took digs at Rodgers for his way of dealing with the decision he had to make. The brothers went into the hilarious intricacies of how the cabin might have smelled.
As the older Kelce brother questioned how the cabin might have smelled, the SNL host had an interesting answer. Travis speculated that the cabin might have smelled like mildew or sage. Jason Kelce speculated on how the cabin would’ve been based on his own experiences. Furthermore, he also took a dig at Rodgers about his inability to make decisions in a normal way. He said, “Whenever I’m in a cabin that like an outdoor like wooded structure there’s that like very um almost like dewy smell and it’s just always there. And apparently, it helps you decide where you want to go in free agency.”
Furthermore, Travis also poked some fun at Rodgers keeping Jason Kelce’s most recent announcement in mind. He jokingly spoke about how the Philly center should’ve gotten more attention instead of Rodgers.

Travis Kelce’s hidden support for Jason Kelce
While Rodgers has taken a long time to make his decision in terms of his landing spot, Jason Kelce made decisions swiftly. He took to Twitter, a few days ago, to announce that he will be returning to the Eagles for another season. His method of the announcement was without any anticipation or suspense, unlike Rodgers. Travis Kelce spoke about this. The tight end made a dig at Rodgers as he spoke up about his brother’s decision and hyped him up.

While the Kelce brothers were definitely joking, there is some truth to their words. Rodgers did end up taking a long time to make a decision about his landing spot. However, even after he made his intentions about going to the Jets clear, the deal isn’t final. It only remains to be seen what pound of flesh the Packers extract before they let go of Rodgers.
