“Tom Was in the Tub”: Years Before Divorce, Tom Brady’s Ex-wife Gisele Bündchen Recalled How Ex-husband Supported Her Extraordinary Decision

Gisele Bündchen has always been an individual who has gone on to make her own decisions, regardless of what the norm might be. She has been the epitome of grace and strength. While she is the kind of person who wishes everyone the best, she also chooses her path, even if it is considered abnormal or different. Furthermore, when they were married, Tom Brady was very accepting of Gisele’s decisions and even supported her staunchly. In her memoir, the model spoke about one such incident.

In her book, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Gisele spoke about how Brady helped and supported her through one of the biggest moments of her life. He was not just supportive but, as per Gisele, he was actively present in what was an extraordinary decision.

Tom Brady supported Gisele Bündchen during a crucial time

A particular moment that Gisele speaks about in her memoir is the birth of her children. She spoke about her choice to have a home birth in a tub for her second child. The model had previously had a home birth for Benjamin as well. The only difference was she had chosen to purchase and install a birthing tub during Vivian’s birth. The model spoke about the intricacies of home birth and gave advice to new mothers.

Furthermore, she also spoke about the kind of support Brady showed. She said, “Tom was in the tub with me, and my mom, Deborah, Mayra, and my sister Fafi were also in the room. I’m so happy that I was awake, and conscious when I gave birth to both my children.” All in all, Gisele seemed overjoyed with the manner of birth as well as her decision to have children. Currently, the model has two children, both with Brady.

Gisele’s children: Her biggest pride

The model has been blessed with a beautiful pair of children. She had both of them with Brady while they were married. Gisele’s first child was born in December 2009. They named him Benjamin Rein. They also had another child, this time a daughter, Vivian Lake. In her memoir, Gisele exclaimed the kind of emotions she felt because of the decision. In her memoir, she said, “Giving birth to my children at home was the two most extraordinary experiences of my life. I’d made a decision, trusted myself that everything would work out, and it did. I am so grateful.” 

Even after her divorce, the model has been making an active effort to make the life of her children better and normal. She has been taking them on brilliant vacations and visiting their mother’s homeland. It only remains to be seen how the new form of parenting has been beneficial for Gisele’s children.
