But what is it that makes the legendary QB a truly amazing person? Years before the heartbreaking divorce, his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, answered that question.

Bündchen and Brady married back in 2009. But after 13 years of togetherness, they called curtains on their relationship in October last year. Before that happened, Bündchen once revealed what exactly made her choose the NFL GOAT as her life partner.

Gisele Bündchen once revealed the one quality that made her choose former New England Patriots QB Tom Brady as her life partner. She made this revelation in her 2018 memoir, years before the couple split up.

“When I chose Tom to be my life partner, I was fortunate to find a man calmer than he is stormy. As his teammates will tell you, Tom is someone you can count on. It’s a quality I hadn’t experienced in any of my other romantic relationships,” Bündchen wrote in ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’.

Bündchen met Brady on a blind date set up by a mutual friend in 2007. Before he started dating the supermodel, Brady was in a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. Bündchen even raised Brady’s oldest son Jack as her own, once calling him her ‘bonus child’.

They were a power couple, on top of their professions when they met. But suddenly, it was all over in a flash.

Life after divorce 

After they divorced each other last year, both Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are on their separate paths. While Brady has announced his retirement from Pro Football, Bündchen has gone back to active modeling. She appeared in a Louis Vuitton campaign to kickstart that journey again.

Many fans speculated on the reason the beloved couple split up. The most popular theory everyone had was that it had something to do with Brady going back to football after initially retiring. But Bündchen rubbished those claims in an interview with Vanity Fair.

The couple is co-parenting their two kids, Benjamin and Vivian. They took them on separate vacations with different purposes in mind. While Brady’s trip was more about having fun in the snow, Bündchen took them to her native Brazil to help them reconnect to their roots. The kids are getting ample time with both their parents and that is the best thing anybody could ever ask for.
