Tom Brady had signed a 2-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The star quarterback had a great first year at Tampa Bay. He led the team to a Super Bowl championship. While the second year might not be going as well as the first, no one can argue that Brady has had a huge impact on Tampa Bay. However, after this year, he will become an unrestricted free agent again and his destination seems very unclear.

The Bucs need to think about the future of their organization. There might be a possibility that the Bucs be leaning toward a veteran. While he might not be at Brady’s level, the Bucs’ potential recruit is no slouch himself.
Possible veteran replacing Tom Brady
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to start preparing for the possibility of a Brady-less future. As Tom Brady becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season, the Bucs might need to consider other options. While there are different options that might fit decently, a very viable one seems to be the current Browns quarterback, Jacoby Brissett.
Brissett has been exceeding expectations for the Brown and has been playing really well. Before Deshaun Watson had come back to play for the Browns, Brissett was putting up brilliant numbers and had been an integral part of making the Browns’ offense work. Furthermore, the veteran has always gone from team to team, playing well for every organization he performed for.

Brissett the journeyman
Brissett has bounced around from different teams throughout the NFL. While he was originally drafted by the Patriots, he has been on a slew of teams. He had signed a contract with the Colts to replace Andrew Luck. From there on he jumped to the Dolphins for a whopping $5 million and finally ended up playing for the Cleveland Browns. He played well for the Browns in place of Deshaun Watson. Watson was facing an 11-game suspension from the league at the time.
If Brady leaves the Buc, it will indeed leave a vacuum in the team. It would be smart for the Buccaneers to start planning their future and prepare for the possibility of TB12 not being in Tampa Bay colors. The question that now remains is, who will the Bucs pursue in the event that Brady leaves?
