And as Brady and the Buccaneers will face Jackson and the Ravens this Thursday in Week 8 of this edition of the NFL, speculations arise about whether this face-off will turn out to be the end of a legend and the rise of another.

Tom Brady and his brigade face recent troubles with the numbers

Being a playing legend, Tom Brady has always been good with numbers. His stats are fascinating and he even holds many records under his belt. But of late, Brady’s past has overshadowed his current efforts. And the numbers no longer seem to prevail in his camp.

In fact, it’s not only him. His brigade is also having recent clashes with numbers. With their surprising loss to the Panthers, the Bucs dropped below.500. Since 2002, Brady hasn’t started a season this bad (3-4) and has never finished below.500 after eight games. To date, Tom Brady’s team Buccaneers have mostly struggled against Lamar Jackson’s Ravens. In the six matches that they played against each other, the Ravens outscored the Bucs 122-86 and currently lead 4-2. The last time these two teams met was back in 2018. In that game, the Ravens had the last laugh. Brady and Lamar Jackson have only faced off once, in 2019, which was also Brady’s final year with the Patriots.
Jackson, while playing for the Ravens, dominated the Patriots, overshadowed Brady, and ended up winning 37-20. Throughout the match, Jackson looked unstoppable. He completed 17 of his 23 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns. As the nightmare phase for Brady and his team prevail, these numbers add tons of pressure and will surely give sleepless nights to the legend and his brigade ahead of the mega clash of the titans.
