Throughout his illustrious career, Tom Brady has been a part of two iconic locker rooms. While Brady led both Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots to the promised land, the journey had its fair share of ups and downs. As many challenges trampled on them, Brady and his crew continued looking on the brighter side, enjoying jovial moments in the locker room. But the story is not over, the locker room was also sort of a love class for a teammate.
One of those moments saw Brady’s Tampa Bay teammate secure the love of his life. While Brady faces heartbreak after 13 years of marriage, his former teammate, and brother-in-arms is still going strong, and the story is simply inspirational.

Mike Evans has achieved every possible honor out on the football field. Yet his biggest achievement would be the beautiful family he has crafted. Evans and his childhood wasn’t exactly a happy one. His mother gave birth to Evans at just a mere age of 14.
Domestic violence was a regular occurrence in the Evans household, as his father would often vent his anger on Mike and his mother. Infuriated by the torture his sister was undergoing, Evans’ maternal uncle took matters into his own hand and murdered his father.
Coming from a broken home, Mike Evans had always been an advocate for love and soon found the perfect woman for him. However, proposing to Ashli Dotson was the most nerve-wracking thing for Evans, as he would often practice his words along with his teammates on the sidelines.

Evans knew that the proposal simply had to be perfect, and he wanted to incorporate both families at the moment. Thus came the perfect occasion, two days after his future wife’s birthday and just before Christmas. Both families came together to open the presents, but Evans had already done his preparations.
“I was opening a gift from Mike, a pair of black high heels, and inside this wrapped shoe box was a smaller ring box,” recalled Ashley. Soon Evans dropped to his knees and fortunately, the future Mrs. Evans obliged.
A beautiful wedding
On December 19th, 2014 Mike Evans and Ashli Dotson were officially engaged. Next, it was time for the big day. The power couple chose February 13, 2015, as the eventful day, while their three-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, tackled the role of the flower girl.

The ceremony was a sight to behold as the couple picked out the Corinthian in Houston, Texas as the big stage. Speaking on the venue, Ashli shared, “We loved that it was an old bank renovated into an event hall,”
Both Mr and Mrs Evans agreed that the ceremony needed to encompass formality with fun, and they delivered, “We envisioned something elegant but laid-back and definitely not stuffy,“.

Since then, the couple has been blessed with three beautiful children: Ariah Lynn, Amari Thomas, and Mackenzie. Despite being engulfed in the joy of a happy family, Mike Evans hasn’t forgotten the turmoil he went through and with the support of his wife established the Mike Evans Family Foundation in December 2017 to aid domestic violence victims.
