Tom Brady refuses to stay out of the headlines. After retiring from the NFL this February in dramatic fashion, the seven-time Super Bowl champion is now trying his hand at a different sport. Nothing Jordanesque. Brady is not playing this time. He just became a part owner of a world-class WNBA franchise.

TB12 joined the Las Vegas Aces family this week and the 2022-23 WNBA champions couldn’t be prouder to have the NFL icon on board. And they weren’t the only ones, as Brady surprised quite a few with this move into the women’s sporting sphere.

TB12 gets on the LV Aces ownership team

After 23 seasons in the NFL and becoming the undisputed king of the gridiron, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally hung up the kit this year after a decoy retirement last year. However, Tom couldn’t live without the competitive fire. And he just joined the Las Vegas Aces ownership group. Aces’ owner Mark Davis thinks that Brady coming on board is a win not only for the Aces, and the WNBA but for all women’s professional sports.

Brady expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Aces organization, stating that he is eager to be back in the presence of some of the world’s greatest athletes. “I’m excited to announce that I’m gonna be a part of the Las Vegas Aces organization. It was a matter of time before I was back in the building with some of the greatest athletes in the world.

He commended the hard work of the Aces players and staff and praised the WNBA’s efforts to grow the sport and empower future generations of female athletes “I admire all the work the Aces players and staff do and what the WNBA continues to do to grow the sport. And to empower future generations of female athletes”

“I can’t wait to watch all these amazing talented players bring another championship to Las Vegas. LFG,” the 15x Pro Bowler cheered.

National Women’s Soccer League team Angel City FC owner and Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, did not see the move coming and commented, “BRUH.

What inspired Tom Brady to get into this?

Brady’s prime inspiration for getting into the Aces family has been his elder sisters. The quarterback was the annoying little brother tagging along with his sisters at their athletic events. And that is where Tom’s love for sports grew.

They were all incredible athletes in their own right. And they were role models to me. They were the best athletes in our house,” he said.
