Tom Brady just ended his pro football career after 23 glorious years in the NFL. And although retirement wasn’t the foremost thing on Brady’s mind, his business commitments may have had a hand in pushing the 7x Super Bowl champion towards the decision. One of those ventures was his movie ’80 for Brady’.
The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made his debut in the world of show business with a comedy-adventure multi-starer. And with a Friday release last week, and the box office numbers coming in, ’80 for Brady’ has had a good start. However, it is nothing like the success Brady enjoyed in his NFL career.

I loved #80forbrady — Lily, Jane, Rita, and Sally are absolutely darling. Billy Porter is FABULOUS. I only wish he had more screen time to sing/dance. pic.twitter.com/ZPbkex9oT6

However, the non-NFL population wasn’t quite pleased with the sports comedy flick. CinemaBlend rated the movie 2 out of 5 with an added insult in the review. “Shouldn’t have even qualified for training camp“. Other review houses have even described ’80 for Brady’ as “mediocre” and “a weird mushroom trip.” Rotten Tomato’s audience poll stands at a stellar 91%. However, the critics section on RT has only accumulated a 64% rating.
