Back in September 21, 2021, the father of Tom Brady spoke with Tom Curran on his “Patriots Talk” podcast. When the host asked Brady Sr. about his son relocating to Tampa, he said, “That was our home for 20 years.” older Brady adds, “The fans embraced Tommy, the city embraced Tommy, and the team embraced Tommy for a while.”

Brady’s dad explained that Tom is extraordinarily appreciative of everything that happened during his time in New England. But Brady was more than happy that he moved on because the Patriots’ regime felt it was time for him to move on.

That is how the situation was with the quarterback. With times changing, Brady felt like he had to make a change as well. Brady Sr. said, “Tommy’s no different than the rest of us.”

Tom Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. His best friend and tight end Rob Gronkowski also followed the quarterback to Florida. Many fans doubted the move at first, but the duo felt rejuvenated. They found success all throughout the 2020 season. Brady led the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl and claimed his seventh ring.
