Drew Brees will join Tom Brady to become one of the handful quarterbacks to have played for 20 seasons or more. With the 40s becoming the new 30s, both players are presently among the NFL’s best. However, Brees had a great 2019 and will most likely have just an impressive 2020.
Between the two quarterbacks, Brees has completed more passes, thrown for most yards and most touchdowns. His stats are the highest in NFL history. However, Brady has more championships. And, this is what analyst Shannon Sharpe believes is the only parameter to judge Brady by. “Tom Brady is always going to be judged on championships. I am not going to let you change the scenery“, said the former tight end. Even if he is with a different team now, he is still Tom Brady.
What’s in Store for the Bucs with Tom Brady on their Side
Skip Bayless said that even if he’s moved to Tampa, Tom Brady will not be spending a lot of his time on the beach enjoying warm weather. Instead, he will be at the stadium devouring competition. “Tom Brady will have a better statistical season than Drew Brees and Tom Brady’s Football team will win the division… and win the Conference, and get to the first home Super Bowl played by a home team.”

Brees’s numbers from 2019 were astonishing to Bayless because they hinted that he has declined more than Brady despite being younger. “He just can’t throw the deep ball“, the analyst said. Tom Brady’s stronger arm will certainly be showcased better this year due to the Bucs offense. Brees, however, has better weapons on his side.
