In a controversial decision, referees threw the flag after Brady was tackled to the ground. It happened on a third downplay by Grady Jarrett. And, it was a clean tackle as TB12 was not slammed into the ground. However, the referee did not stand in favor of the Falcons’ plea. Did the NFL GOAT receive preferential treatment, asked some fans. Meanwhile, the legend came into his own defense during a presser.
“I don’t throw the flags,” the experienced campaigner said, after the win.
What happened in the game?
The Buccaneers were leading 21-15 in the fourth quarter. There were 2:56 seconds left. Earlier, the Falcons made a stunning comeback in the third quarter. They were 21-0 down and bounced back to keep the difference to just six points. That was when the incident happened in the fourth quarter. If the referee had awarded a converted touchdown, it would have given the Falcons an advantage, and probably a win.
Is there any fact in the allegation or is it just pointing fingers at the QB? Tom Brady is often respected by the opposition teams. He dismissed any involvement in special favors. He categorically denied the allegations and gave a clear-cut response to the media.
