Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady seems to be finally making money moves in the latter stages of his career. The 7-time Super Bowl champion recently announced his lucrative 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX Sports. While it ranks among some of the largest contracts in the world of sports, Brady will have some bittersweet feelings.

With reference to PFF figures, this deal would be the fourth-highest sum ever paid to an athlete. He will be trailing Lionel Messi ($674 million), Patrick Mahomes ($503 million), and Mike Trout ($426.5 million). Mahomes still ranks at the top in the NFL as he signed a 10-year, $503 million contract extension.

While Brady was more of a player who sacrificed his money for benefiting the team, Mahomes seems to be finding a way around that.

It is a clear reminder of how much the game has evolved over the years and the amount of money an NFL QB can make after entering the league. Mahomes’ new contract was signed following his Super Bowl-winning MVP performance in 2019. But it seems Brady, who has won the Super Bowl multiple times over the years, still prefers winning football games to getting paid.

Tom Brady shows an unearthly determination to win in everything

The 15-time Pro Bowler has a legendary footballing resume that very few players could ever possess in their careers. The greatness of Tom Brady seems to be only on display on the football field. He is coming off one of his best NFL campaigns in recent memory for fans. While leading the charge in 2021 offensively, Brady ended up recording 5,316 passing yards resulting in 43 TD passes and 12 INTs.
