NFL Insider Ian Rapoport was the first person to disclose the news. He revealed the seven-time Super Bowl champion was not present for the day and affirmed that the head coach will discuss the matter after practice sessions. He also claimed that Brady might be unavailable for a few more days.

Meanwhile, Todd Bowles came up with his explanation on the issue, saying that Brady will return before the Bucs’ second preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, and the reason was purely personal. “Tom has been excused today,” Bowles said.

“He’ll be back sometime around after Tennessee. He’s going to deal with some personal things. This is something we talked about before training camp started. We allotted this time because he wanted to get in and get chemistry with the guys and go through two weeks of training camp.” he added to the explanation.
