Tom Brady loves to keep his friends close, and we have seen that many times. The Buccaneers’ star QB is entering his 23rd season in the NFL and is looking forward to breaking his record of seven Super Bowl titles. Recently, the 44-year-old star shared a picture of himself with three of his ex-Patriots teammates on social media.

Tom Brady shared the picture on Twitter, posing with his former Patriots teammates, Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski. He captioned the Twitter post as, “BREAKING NEWS: Nah just kidding, we did get the band back together to shoot 80 for Brady though.”

All the four NFL players were rocking the Super Bowl LI championship gear. New England Patriots defeated the Falcons in Super Bowl LI by 34-28. Brady is currently shooting for a movie ’80 for Brady,’ a comedy, which will release in 2023.

The movie is based on four women who are in their 80s and are lifelong fans of Tom Brady. The four travel together to watch Super Bowl LI in Houston to see Brady perform in live action. Actresses Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Lily Tomlin played the four characters.

So, the four players had a re-union on the movie set. Kyle Marvin directs the movie, with Brady producing and acting in the film. Former TE Rob Gronkowski, WR Danny Amendola, and former WR Julian Edelman will have cameos in the movie.

The picture sends a nostalgic wave to the Patriots fans as it reminds them of the Patriots’ Golden period, where Brady helped the Patriots to win six Super Bowl titles.

Currently, none of these four players play for The New England Patriots. Tom Brady joined Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, Gronkowski and Edelman have happily retired, and Amendola is a free agent.

Tom Brady played three more seasons with the Patriots after winning Super Bowl LI. Patriots lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII and defeated Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII. In 2020, Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him, and he won his seventh ring in Super Bowl LV.
