Tom Brady removes Gisele Bündchen from his Twitter header

Tom Brady made headlines this week after a solid win against the Seattle Seahawks. He has led his team to bounce back in the ongoing season of the NFL after a shaky start. But another action has come to the notice of fans on social media, Brady’s new Twitter header.

Brady’s old Twitter header had a picture of him with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. The photo, taken on a beach, also had his children. But he changed it weeks after finalizing his divorce. Now his Twitter header is a picture of him in the field with full Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear on. And the spectators have their phone flashlights on like a concert. 

This comes amid rumors of Gisele dating her Jiu-Jitsu teacher, Joaquim Valente. Bündchen sparked dating rumors when she met Valente on a dinner date in Costa Rica. But those rumors have been downplayed. Bündchen and Valente came in contact after the supermodel signed her son up for his martial arts class. She herself received training in Jiu-Jitsu from him.

The divorce

The speculation around the divorce of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen first surfaced in early October 2022. The reports said that Bündchen wanted Brady to retire from the NFL and spend more time with his family. Brady had to be away most of the time due to a hectic NFL schedule. The Buccaneers QB announced his retirement from professional football at the end of the 2021 season. But the retirement didn’t last long as he returned to play another season with the Tampa-based franchise just over a month later. He is in pursuit of his eighth Super Bowl title after winning six with the New England Patriots and one with the Bucs. And that became the issue of discord between the couple.

Finally, both decided to part ways in an amicable settlement and announced their divorce later in October. The couple shares two children, 12-year-old Benjamin and nine-year-old Vivian. The eldest, 15-year-old Jack is Brady’s child from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. Bündchen raised Jack with Brady and called him her bonus child.

Brady and Bündchen will share custody of the two younger children. Brady will keep his base in Tampa, Florida, the home of the Bucs.
