The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a thrilling matchup on Sunday to conclude the Buccaneers post-season. The 44-year-old Bucs quarterback, Tom Brady, was playing his 22 NFL season. It is unclear if the seven-time Super Bowl champion will play beyond this season.

During the press conference, Brady said that it was too soon for him to make any comments because his mind was still clouded by the recent loss to the RamsHe responded, “I haven’t put a lot of thought into it so, you know we’ll just take it day by day and see, kind of see where we’re at.”

“No, I was thinking about winning, that’s kind of my mentality always, to win, give my team the best chance to win”, said Brady on being asked whether the thought that this could be his final game ever crossed his mind.

Buccaneers head coach, Bruce Arians said to James Palmer, “That’s up to Tom”. Arians was asked if he expects Tom Brady to play next season.

Brady has turned in some impressive stats this season. He averaged 5,316 passing yards, 43 passing touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in the 2021-22 regular season. In the post-season, he has averaged 600 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and 1 interception.

Mike Evans was asked if he would try to convince Brady to return for another season. “I don’t have to say nothing to him,” Evans said to CLUTCHPOINTS. “He’s self-motivated, he knows what he wants and hopefully we get him back next year.” Evans added, “The best player ever. One of the best teammates and one of the best leaders I’ve ever seen, so hopefully we can get him back.” Evans hopes Brady understands what is best for him and will certainly play next year.

Brady is a father of three, so family responsibilities weigh on him as well. However, he is under contract for his 23 NFL season with the Buccaneers. Moreover, considering how the team has been performing in the postseason, it seems likely that his 22-year career may not be coming to an end.
