Fight Breaks Out in NFL Owners’ Meeting as Jerry Jones Drops F Bomb on Recently Married Robert Kraft

The popularity of the NFL is unquestionable, as it attracts one of the largest fan followings across the sports fraternity. All thanks to the administration and the initiatives undertaken by the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who has been on the job since 2006. While his contract was being restructured recently, a hot situation aroused between the Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones, dropping F-bombs on Robert Kraft.

On Tuesday, the NFL owners held a meeting to discuss various issues about the foreseeable future. Commissioner Roger Goodell’s contract extension also happened to be one of the agendas. In the voting held to permit the compensation committee to engage in negotiations with him, 31 managers voted in favor of Goodell continuing his league duties.

However, Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones was the only person to oppose the move. The Patriots owner Robert Kraft joined others, supporting the deal by getting involved in a heated exchange with his counterpart.

“Don’t f— with me,” the Cowboys owner made an unexpected remark against Kraft, to which he replied, “Excuse me?” Jones again reiterated his displeasure to Kraft saying, “Don’t mess with me.”

Well, it is expected that Goodell will sign a contract for two or more years. It was in 2017, Goodell received a five-year contract, and per sources, Jones happened to resist the move back then.

“He believes in corporate good governance and wants accountability on the financial goals tied to Roger’s bonus,” said a source about Jones’ thought process per ESPN. “He is sensitive to awarding a big bonus to Roger before he performs and earns it.” it reads. However, Jones venting his displeasure only at Kraft despite having 30 others in the meeting was the only thing that puzzled the fans.

Robert Kraft got merrier in a Surprise Ceremony

The 81-year-old businessman and Patriots owner Robert Kraft was the hot topic last week. He got married to his long-time love, Dr. Dana Bloomberg, and were linked to each other since 2019.

“Most of the people didn’t know it was a wedding celebration. We thought it was a party, and then when we went upstairs — and [a] screen opened and Robert and Dana came out. She was in a wedding dress, and Elton John announced them as ‘husband and wife.’ Then Meek Mill wrote a song for them — which he sang with Ed Sheeran as back up,” said a source per People.

It was a star-studded event with the attendance of several celebrities from the sports world. Kraft’s long-time quarterback Tom Brady was also present for the wedding, taking time despite a busy 2022 schedule.
