Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced a setback after losing Rob Gronkowski. The franchise’s Super Bowl odds hit a small bump after the legendary TE announced his retirement. The Buccaneers, though, weren’t just sitting around lamenting their setback; they brought in Gronk’s replacement, Kyle Rudolph.

Throughout the offseason, the Bucs constantly lost their grip with various roster members, and Gronk was among them. He became a free agent during that period and kept his situation an enigma for the most part. Eventually, he chose retirement for the second time, and he might be adamant about his decision, unlike the first.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fill the tight-end void by getting some veteran help. As per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ex-Giants and Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph is on board with the franchise. The athlete reportedly signs a one-year agreement with the Bucs and becomes Gronkowski’s replacement for Tom Brady. The franchise is yet to reveal any additional details on the contract.
Schefter mentions via Twitter, “Tom Brady has a new tight-end target in Tampa: Former Vikings’ and Giants’ veteran Kyle Rudolph is signing a one-year contact with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per source.”
Kyle Rudolph chose to play in Tampa despite the fact that former Michigan QB Tom Brady told his new tight end that he can’t be his first read because he went to Notre Dame.

It should probably be the wake-up call for the Pewter Pirates that Rob Gronkowski was not playing on his second retirement run. He looks rather serious, and maybe one should not expect him to show up.
Will TE Rudolph be the one for Tom Brady?

After some flirtations during free agency, Kyle Rudolph gets his leading chance in Tampa Bay and a chance to develop chemistry with the NFL GOAT. He still has the right build and broad expertise for the spot, which the Buccaneers desire. Kyle Rudolph has 479 career regular-season carries for 4,745 yards and 49 touchdowns. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and played in the Minnesota Vikings for the first ten years of his career.
Pro Football Focus had Kyle Rudolph graded as the No. 35 tight end in the NFL last season. Cam Brate was No. 52, by comparison, O.J. Howard (now with Bills) No. 69.

Rudolph’s most fruitful year was 2016 when he hauled 83 passes for 840 yards. Rudolph recorded 26 receptions for 257 yards and a score in his lone season in the New York Giants. Alongside Cameron Brate and Codey McElroy, who has appeared for one play, he now provides Brady with a seasoned tight end.
