Last auction: A ball, a bid, and a return

Last year, an interesting twist and turn occurred in the NFL. It was supposed to be the last NFL football ever thrown for a touchdown by Tom Brady, and Miami commercial real estate broker Ron Firman was so honored to own it that he bid an astounding $518,628 at auction. However, less than 24 hours after the auction ended, Brady decided that he wasn’t done playing after announcing the end of his 22-year NFL career just 40 days prior.
