Tom Brady-Less Bill Belichick May Have a ‘Backdoor’ if Patriots Problems Persist, NFL Insider Says

In the recent turn of events, the head coach Bill Belichick’s struggle with the camp can be the potential backdoor exit of him, reveals American sports personality Colin Cowherd. During the Tom Brady era, possibly the promising phase for the franchise, the Patriots won 6 super bowl championships. And post Brady’s retirement the franchise is witnessing a super bowl drought. 

The six-time super bowl champions, Coach Belichick, and the team are now having a hard time getting into the playoffs. Concludingly, the team’s failure resulted in igniting the possibility of Belichick stepping down as the head coach.

Colin Cowherd shared on the show, “I don’t think it’s outrageous after the year if Bill steps down and there’s a backdoor deal of some monetary noteworthy monetary value”. Commenting further on the issue, the guest on the show John Middlekauff added, “I just don’t see in the AFC I mean they would have to have the number one defense in the league they would have to just be an incredible special teams team.”

The duo further highlighted Tom Brady’s contribution to the offense facet of the team. Where they concluded by stating the Patriots’ offense is not explosive enough post-Brady’s retirement. However, the long-lived Brady era was a commendable phase for the Patriots and they are still missing it.
