Becoming the GOAT is not easy. Just ask Tom Brady. Not only does it require talent but also hard work, dedication and the ability to push your teammates to go that extra mile for the best results for the team. Brady has been in the NFL long enough to know what being GOAT warrants and has been consistently doing it for two decades now.

However, to him, football is much more than individual performance. Brady is famous for pushing his teammates hard to get the best out of them. Playing with him is definitely not the easiest task for the under-prepared, as many in the Buccaneers team are finding out before the 2022 season begins.
What does Tom Brady want from the Bucs in 2022?
Tom Brady recently mentioned that the season has started. While many people might feel that it is technically not true, what Brady meant was that given the fact that the schedule for the regular season is out, it is reasonable to begin preparation in earnest to make the most of early opportunities against opponents. This comes after the Bucs failed to reach the Super Bowl in the 2021 season.
The Bucs have some important games early on during the season, including an away game against the Cowboys and home games against the Packers and the Chiefs. This has prompted Brady to tell his team of the challenge they are facing. He said, “We know we’ve got six weeks of training camp, but I feel like it starts [now]. Obviously, the season has already started–you are competing every day out there.”
He said during the camp and over the season, players will either improve or deteriorate. According to TB12, the aim of the camp was not to go there to just sweat, but to sweat, keeping an end in mind and getting things done. Brady probably said this to ensure younger receivers in the team did not show up for camp unprepared, but rather, in the best possible condition, they could.

Have players turned up for camp unprepared?
There have been instances of players showing up for training camp out of shape and not prepared for the rigors of the game. Receiver Tyler Johnson did that prior to the 2021 season. He arrived in camp out of shape and had to spend time getting back to his weight, although he quickly accepted that he was too relaxed over the off-season. Former Bucs receiver Justin Watson also did a similar thing.
Players of Brady’s caliber know that team reputation and results take a long while to craft. They take years of dedicated efforts to achieve. Hence, as leaders, they push every single team member to be the best of themself in order to contribute more effectively to the team’s goals. In the Bucs’ case, this involves reaching another Super Bowl this year and trying to win, after falling painfully short last season.
