Tom Brady has been unwittingly drawn into speculation with regard to his future. While the decision to continue in the league is in the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s hands, the NFL world’s discourse makes it seem like they have a stake in his career’s trajectory.

Thrust into full-blown speculation, the QB has not willingly hinted at a potential move. But as the conversation escalates, one legendary player’s thoughts may put a pin in the matter.

The NFL world is pointing Tom Brady in the direction of the Las Vegas Raiders, Tim Brown does not agree. The former Raiders legend made his thoughts known during an appearance on CBS Sports Radio.

He said, “I don’t think Tom Brady should be in the plans at all. But, because of that relationship, I think that’s a possibility.” When asked about his reasons for saying so, Brown alluded to Brady’s age. Raiders HC Josh McDaniels and TB12 have a history. Together they built a legacy at the New England Patriots. So it’s no surprise that fans put two and two together to conclude that a potential move might be at hand.

The Raiders have been making news for their QB crisis and TB12’s free agency might be their redemption. But the Hall of Famer put emphasis on the need to have a quarterback with decent mobility. “Tom Brady is never gonna do that,” he said with refence to movement on the field. He added that despite Brady’s achievements the league is in need of quarterbacks who can get around on their feet. But given TB12’s successful career, will this play a key role in the Raiders’ potential decision making?

Brady has not explicitly indicated a potential move

Former Raiders QB Derek Carr, who was benched by the team and subsequently announced that he would be stepping away, was not someone who’d be considered a top-tier QB. Compared to Carr’s achievements, acquiring Brady would be a major upgrade. Although there is truth to what Brown said about the league needing QBs who are fast on their feet, TB12’s experience may speak for itself.

But both QB’s share the trait of being coy about what they’ve planned. After TB12’s recent agitated statements, can fans assume that the QB is actually unsure of a potential move?
