The Tampa Bay and New Orleans game was an unforgettable event where the team lead, Tom Brady, threw a touchdown and tablets. A night that inevitably ended in a win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Saints. The leading shot-caller of the team reported he suffered injuries on his fingers on Sunday. This raises the question: Is Tampa Tom fit enough to play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3?

In SiriusXM’s podcast named, Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray revealed he had a few injuries from the game. He “banged it up pretty good.” Although injured, it did not affect Brady’s gameplay “but you know one of those bumps and bruises that come along with playing it.” 

The injuries are not serious enough to stall the quarterback from the games. “It’s just gonna be sore throughout the week.” Therefore, taking care of the injuries this week will suffice.

Tom Brady and his team’s rocky start but an eventual win

Tom Brady experienced difficulties defeating the New Orleans Saints since he joined Tampa Bay in the 2020 NFL season. The game experienced a rocky start. In the first half, the Saints could keep the Bucs under control. They gained three points.

In the second half, a fight erupted. This resulted in the eviction of Mike Evans Marshon Lattimore. Their ejection was not ideal.

The Bucs did not score points until the third quarter. To tie the game at three, Ryan Succop made a 47-yard field goal. It was only in the fourth quarter that Todd Bowles’ unit could find the end zone. Breshad Perriman became the prime support for Tampa Tom when the team lost Evans because of the brawl and Julio Jones because of a previous injury. In the fourth quarter, he scored from a distance of 28 yards after catching three of his five receptions for 45 yards.

18 of Brady’s 34 throw attempts were completed for 190 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. Ultimately, the defense of the team was the star of the show, whereas the offense was not reliable.
