Tom Brady’s post-NFL life can take a whole new turn. After coming out of retirement this year, the five-time Super Bowl MVP has made it clear that he doesn’t intend on hanging up his cleats anytime soon. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to continue playing in the NFL.

In a recent episode of the ‘Let’s Go podcast’ with Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald, Brady discussed his love for international fixtures. TB12 expressed his casual desire to one day play in the Canadian Football League and Jim Gray didn’t think it was a bad idea.
Can we see Tom Brady in the CFL?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks 21-16 in the NFL’s first international game in Germany. Tom Brady had 2 important touchdowns over 258 yards of passing in the win. Brady also became the only quarterback in the league’s history to have won an NFL game in 4 different countries, adding Germany to his list of wins in the United Kingdom, Mexico, and the USA.

However, there’s one country still missing from TB12’s list of international victories, Canada. Brady spoke about his love for electric international venues and said, “I’m hoping I get to go play in the CFL at some point and really see what I can make of myself up there.” Jim Gray loved the idea and said, “add Canada to the list in the championships.”
Tom Brady’s former New England Patriots teammate and CFL veteran Doug Flutie made the transition to the Canadian league and also won the Grey Cup in his 8 years up north. Brady has a great relationship with Doug, and this could be the perfect catalyst to push Tampa Tom to Canada.

Before CFL, TB12 needs to rescue the season for the Buccaneers
Tom Brady has just recovered from his worst franchise start to a regular season since 2003. However, Brady and the Bucs are back to .500 in the league after winning against the LA Rams and the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady signed a $375 million 10-year contract with Fox for his life after the NFL. However, his CFL dreams and Fox’s sports analyst job might have to hold on for a while. TB12 has no retirement plans in the future and set another NFL record against the Rams. Brady trumped Aaron Donald‘s defense for his 100,000th career passing yards against the reigning Super Bowl Champions. The 7x Super Bowl winner is on his bye this week and leads the Bucs against the 3-6 Cleveland Browns next.
