Without the shackles of a contract, Brady is free to have his pick of the teams. Furthermore, there have already been some highly touted teams on the lookout for him. With such a lavish choice, it would be logical to assume that the Bucs’ management should be giving the QB everything short of a red carpet to tempt him to stay. However, it seems like Brady might have found another reason to not stay in Tampa.

While Brady’s time in Tampa Bay has yielded some brilliant results, his time in Florida might be coming to an end. While the quarterback might want to return to Tampa, there is a possibility that this might not be possible. Surprisingly, the Buccaneers might be responsible for this. NFL as a league has set a financial cap for its team. This indicates that a team can only spend a limited amount on all of their players’ salaries. This was done to ensure that the spending of teams for players is controlled.

Furthermore, this helps maintain the financial integrity of the league. However, the Buccaneers are close to $41 million over their salary cap, as per Forbes. If the Bucs really want Brady to return, they will have to bring in more help for him on the field. However, the Bucs do not have the money to do that. Therefore it would make a lot more sense for Brady to choose a team that actually has well-developed weapons on the field for him to utilize. Furthermore, the Bucs recently made a decision that the fans believe will be another reason for Brady’s departure from Tampa Bay.

The Bucs recently announced that they will be retaining their head coach, Todd Bowles. After this announcement went viral on Twitter, fans were very unhappy. There was some heavy speculation that this might be a cause of Brady leaving the Bucs. Admittedly, there was a lot of consensus among fans that retaining Bowles might not have been a good move.
