This isn’t Tom Brady’s first rodeo. He’s been around for the same time as the dinosaurs if measured by sports years. Forgetting about the innumerable accolades, he is entering his 23rd season. Which effectively means, he has played for 8 times the average NFL career length. So, suffice to say he has seen it all. And in the last few years, the world has seen a newer, arguably cooler side of TB12, and he started looking like more than just the greatest football player ever.
So when the rumors about him and successful entrepreneur Gisele Bündchen started flowing around, football analysts were quick to examine how this affects his game. Whether it was a cheating scandal, or two cheating scandals, or an injury that took him out for the season. And with the statement win against Mahomes two years ago, he has shut up everyone who ever said anything against him. So, without any on-field motivation to rely upon, could Tom Brady use this turmoil in his personal life, which by all means should resolve itself soon, and put it into the best farewell season the NFL world has ever seen?

These are very delicate issues. But at the end of the day, Brady himself said in his recent podcast, “You’re living your life and you can’t stop your life, even though sports is happening.” Stuff keeps happening in personal lives that affect professional life, and vice versa. They are not tightly held vacuum boxes that anyone can keep aside and act accordingly. Especially in an emotionally driven profession like sports. Where, with being calm and collected and knowing what to do, it also pays to have that extra gear.
