In the current scenario, the Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, and Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson have considerably higher pay than Tom Brady. But, the seven-time Super Bowl Champion slays everyone when it comes to wealth accumulation off the field.

In the previous fiscal year, Brady’s on-field earnings were $31.9 million, while off the court, he accumulated around $52 million. That means Brady earns more from brand endorsements, advertisements, and other investments in various business avenues.

In his extensive career of 22 years, Tom Brady earned $293 million in the form of salary, bonuses, and other perks in the NFL. He added another $160 million to his wealth from other endeavors off the field.

The 44-year-old started making his investments and founded an NFT platform, Autograph, which raised $170 million in a Series B funding round. The stakeholders in the company are decorated athletes from NBA and MLB fraternities. He also owns an apparel brand BRADY, which boasts of providing Hi-Tech sports gear and outfits for athletes.

Moreover, Brady also has a production company, 199 productions, and recently signed a lucrative gig with Fox sports. He signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to feature as a commentator for the broadcasting company once he retires from the pro football league. In this way, Brady has various sources for making enough money apart from his NFL contracts.

Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, & Aaron Rodgers are still behind Tom Brady

When it comes to NFL contracts, Tom Brady is clearly behind other quarterbacks in terms of average annual salary. After signing a 10-year extension in 2020, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes earns around $45 million per year. However, he was surpassed by Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson after they signed deals with their respective teams. Rodgers will earn around $50.3 million every year as a part of his new three-year contract.

The Browns’ new quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is estimated to earn $46 million per year and secured the second spot before Patrick Mahomes on the list. Surprisingly, Tom Brady is not even in the top 10. The Buccaneers QB is only making $31.9 million as a part of his contract. Previously, he had mentioned that making adjustments in his salary cap helped the management acquire more talented players and surround himself with match winners.

“It’s the salary cap — you can only spend so much,” Brady told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel in 2019. “The more one guy gets, it’s less for others. From a competitive advantage standpoint, I like to get a lot of good players around me,” he added to his speech. This shows how Brady makes wise decisions on and off the field. He is making more money off the court than other QBs trying hard to unlock their fortune through NFL contracts.
