The Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has plans ready, even if he wishes to retire after the 2022 season. Although he featured in his docu-series, the quarterback will take his first career step as an actor in the upcoming film ’80 for Brady’. It is set to release next year, on February 3.

If not on the football field this season, the Seven-time Super Bowl Champion will share the platform with his former teammates in New England. Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Rita Moreno are the other co-stars from Hollywood to feature as the lead characters.

The film portrays a true story of four best friends in their 80s going on a life-changing trip to see their football idol Tom Brady in his Super Bowl match. The entire set will depict the 2017 Super Bowl LI environment where Brady won his fifth title.

All four happen to be die-hard fans of the quarterback, and the story revolves around this agenda. Moreover, the 2017 game has significant importance in the quarterback’s career. It was the greatest comeback moment in NFL history. Brady and Co surpassed the deficit of 28-3 against the Falcons to a 34-28 win in overtime.

Thereafter, the passer was named MVP for leading a Super Bowl game in history. The win came in overtime with a surreal comeback rally. Brady spoke about the sets and their organization giving a flashback of the good old days. And he mentioned that it was all nostalgic, and the crew nailed it.

“The costume team did an incredible job of keeping everything as authentic as possible,” Brady said in an interview. “They had an amazing attention to detail, even matching old team locker room photos to make sure we were recreating the scenes exactly as they were,” he added. The passer shared his excitement recently on Instagram, sharing the release date of the movie hitting big screens.

Well, it happens so that the pic is not just studded with actors. Brady’s former teammates will reunite with the quarterback. Elite wideout Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola, and Julian Edelman will star in the 2023 theatrical release, as they were also present in 2017’s iconic championship team.

“We’ve been part of a lot of battles together,” Brady said. “We’ve never been on a movie set together; but it felt like we were back in the locker room when we were there. Anytime I get my friends involved in things that I’m doing, it makes it that much more enjoyable for me,” he shared his excitement. The 45-year-old also mentioned that all those memories flashed in front of him wearing the old Patriots jersey.

“When Danny, Jules, Gronk, and I were on set wearing our old uniforms, it was such a great flashback. Like deja vu all over again.” Brady said. All of them happened to be the prime weapons of the Patriots. And the quarterback used them pretty well to win six titles. It will be interesting to see how much these athletes fare on the big screen next year.
