Notably, after the Russell Wilson Trade, the Seahawks’ HC Pete Carroll gave Smith an opportunity to shine and Smith grabbed that opportunity with both hands. In a recent interview, Brady praised the 32-year-old quarterback massively. Moreover, he gave credit to their defense for stopping their offense to get the win against the Seahawks.

Tom Brady talks about Geno Smith and the Bucs’ defense

In the latest episode of his weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go’, Brady said, “Yeah, Geno played great. He made some plays around fourth down were incredible, but we gave so much credit to our defense. You know, that was a team that was throwing the ball very well, they had a great run game, they had a young running back, Walker who had been playing really well, and our defense really stepped up.

Brady then talked about the defense of the Bucs, particularly Devin White, who had 2 sacks in the game against the Seahawks. However, the QB revealed that White had to go through one of the most difficult moments of his life, as he got the news of his father’s passing just before he got onto the flight to Germany.

Notably, Brady almost broke Aaron Rodgers‘ record of 402 consecutive passes made without an interception.
