

Tom Brady is all over. Some are even saying there’s a Tom Brady overload. The 80-for-Brady star has a new commercial that is eerily similar to reality. He dons the character of a director for the ad campaign. But how it unfolds is almost like it happened in real life.

In a recent advertisement released by the car rental company Hertz, Tom Brady played a creative role in promoting the second phase of the Brady campaign. His 40-days retirement was taken as a reference in creating the funny ad. In the beginning, Brady’s post-retirement job is designated as a Hollywood director.
Instantly, he gets enlightened and asks the actor to imagine doing the same job for 22 years. Later getting the idea post-retirement that all he needed was a road trip/vacation to recollect himself. Ultimately, he announces saying, “I am not leaving!” and makes an NFL comeback.

This is how one should take advantage of the opportunities, and the ad-makers executed it pretty well. It took the company less time to make such snippets than Tom Brady coming out of his 40-day retirement.
As Buccaneers saw an impromptu change in their plans, Hertz’s Eoghan Slye saw a “Let’s Go Moment” in Brady’s retirement. “As we were preparing for Part 2 of our Brady campaign, the news broke about his retirement and un-retirement. We realized very quickly that this storyline was an engaging way to tell a ‘Let’s Go’ story.” Slue said to Adweek.

Brady was actively promoting EV and such car rental organizations for over a year now. Just days after signing a deal with the company, the five-time Super Bowl MVP called Hertz a game-changer in the industry.

I’ve been driving an EV for years, and knowing Hertz is leading the way with their electric fleet speaks to how the world is changing and the way companies are approaching being environmentally and socially conscious.” Brady added to his speech.

Even in the past, Brady was part of several projects by Hertz and conveyed the message in a fun way. After facing a backdrop in 2021, the company reinstituted its operations by placing an order for 100,000 Teslas set to complete by 2022. With Brady being the prime ambassador of campaigns, Hertz is expected to achieve its ambitious goals in the coming years.
