Tom Brady and the Buccaneers still lead the NFC South Division. But the fans aren’t glad. On Sunday, they lost 34-23 against divisional leaders, Cincinnati Bengals. Sadly, Todd Bowles’ team looked dazzling in the first half and cruised ahead with a 17-0 lead. 

However, the Bengals found their way back when it mattered. They scored 34 unanswered points and moved fast in the race to the top spot in the AFC North. What pained the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans the most is one key aspect. Their legendary QB is not in his best form, and his struggles reflect heavily on the former Super Bowl winners. 

Joe Burrow wins the battle of QBs

The Bengals young QB Joe Burrow appeared in the Bucs clash with pressure. The comparison with Tom Brady had made social media and press talk. And notably, it was not Burrow’s best games initially, but he bounced back in style. The 26 YO, who celebrated his birthday nine days ago, completed 27 of 39 passes for 200 yards.

Burrow came out smiling with four TDs and one interception. Meanwhile, in the post-game presser, Tom Brady credited his counterpart and echoed encouraging words in admiration. “He’s a really good quarterback,” the 45 YO legend said

Tom Brady commits four turnovers in the Bengals game

The future HOF-er threw for 312 yards and three TDs. However, it ended up as one of the worst games of his career for a major reason. What is it, fans may wonder. TB12 committed four turnovers. And the shocking aspect is it matched a career-high for the most turnovers in a game in his career. The last time it came was way back in 2001. This was during the game against the Broncos. And the dubious history repeated after two decades in what could be a challenging phase in his career.

Eight losses in 14 games is not a great standard for any aspiring team. However, the top position in the group is still intact with the Bucs. The next three games are crucial for Tom Brady and Co. to get back into the winning grove.
