People believed that the Bucs could revive Gronk’s career. However, he accepted an offer to become an analyst at Fox Sports. As a result, the optimism faded. The Pirates can try to shift the tight-end positions to improve their roster.

The Detroit Lions are 1-5 till now and their star player, 25-year-old T.J. Hockenson, will be out of a contract in 2023 but will earn around $9.362 million. It is rumored that Pro Bowl could be the next best option for the struggling Buccaneers. The Athletic’s Jeff Howe suggested that Tampa Bay should trade Hockenson for their first- and fourth-round picks in 2023 to the Lion. “…For the Bucs, their offensive issues can’t be traced to a singular spot, but the lack of a star-caliber tight end certainly hasn’t helped. Hockenson is under contract through his fifth-year option in 2023, so that’s important, too,” wrote Howe.

Is T.J. Hockenson interested in a trade?

The trade rumors cannot faze the former top-ten pick. Hockenson accepted that although he loves his friends in the Detroit locker room, he won’t mind paying for another team. “It is a business and whatever they have to do upstairs they’re going to do.”

Through six games this season, the tight end has 315 yards and three touchdowns. And in 2020, he accumulated 723 yards and two touchdowns. Although a fairly tempting find for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they miss Gronk.

Does Tom Brady miss Gronk?

It is no news that no other player from that position complimented Tom Brady as perfectly as Rob Gronkowski. In the matchup between the Baltimore Ravens, the only reliable WR on the team now, Mike Evans, made a mistake.

Tom Brady threw a sweet touchdown until it wasn’t. What could have been the easiest catch for an elite WR like Evans was missed in the most unforgivable way. The veteran ended the game with nine catches for 96 yards. Is this where Tampa Tom misses his former teammate?

Ted Nguyen of The Athletic reports that besides Gronkowski’s threat in the end zone, the Bucs also lack the veteran’s blocking skills.

Considering the Pewter Pirates are aiming for the Super Bowl ring (also this being the last season of the 45-year-old QB), the team may go out and try to find the next Rob Gronkowski for Tom Brady.
