The NFL world echoed with the brilliance of Tom Brady’s dominance for 23 seasons. But during that era, there were two more QBs who were on part with the GOAT of the league. Brothers Peyton Manning and Eli Manning both were in close pursuit of Brady’s excellence, winning two Super Bowls each in their careers. While Eli Manning spent all his 16 seasons with the New York Giants, Peyton Manning played primarily for the Indianapolis Colts, and then his last four seasons with the Denver Broncos.
The rivalry and friendship between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady is something that the NFL world recognizes famously. Between 2001 to 2015, the duo battled it out on the field 17 times, becoming two of the most legendary QBs in the league ever. Now, Peyton Manning also finds out another piece of news. And this news is something that places the trump card in the hands of his younger brother, Eli Manning.

Both the Manning brothers have successful NFL careers to look back at. While Eli Manning won two Super Bowls playing for the Giants only, Peyton went on to win one with the Colts and one with the Broncos in his career. After retiring from the game, Peyton also entered the entertainment industry by being the founder of Omaha Productions. And during a recent episode of one of their series called King of Collectibles, Peyton Manning found could not believe that his younger brother could overtake him in terms of the value of his Super Bowl winning Jersey.
In this episode, we see the 47-year-old Facetime Ken Goldin, Executive Chairman and Founder of Goldin Auctions. Peyton Manning states that an individual told his younger brother that his first Super Bowl-winning jersey is “worth more” than both Super Bowl-winning jerseys of Peyton. He asked Goldin to verify this as “not true” without trying to bring Brady into the picture. Goldin replied by stating that he feels Eli Manning’s first Super Bowl-winning jersey is well over $500,000, while Peyton Manning’s Broncos Super Bowl-winning jersey is around seven figures, as it holds more relevance as his last worn jersey and Lombardi trophy.

And this could be true, as we have already seen one of the older Manning’s jersey going for an insane amount of money.
The staggering 2014 auctions
In 2014, Hunts Auctions collaborated with NFL and the NFL Players Association. This partnership was to host an auction of various memorabilia with great value in the league. It included modern-day game-used jerseys, cleats, footballs, and also previous Super Bowl collectibles. One item was Peyton Manning’s game-worn jersey. While it was expected to be around $10,000 to $15,000, it auctioned for way more than that. The game-worn jersey went for a lucrative $33,000, more than twice the expectations. So given the history Peyton Manning has in the NFL, it would be no surprise for his Broncos Super Bowl-winning jersey to be of insane value.
