Minnesota Vikings have had great talent on their team with a wide receiver like Justin Jefferson receiving for them. While the offense of the team as a whole might have struggled, Jefferson has continued to elevate the team with his unique brand of gameplay. Therefore, it made a lot of sense that an older Vikings legend was beyond offended when Jefferson was snubbed of a ranking by analysts who truly know the game. Furthermore, the legend even went on to express his disbelief and anger on Twitter.

The legend in question is the HOFer and Vikings legend, Cris Carter. He went on to angrily react to a list produced by two members working on the ESPN network. As the list made on the list went viral, Carter felt like Jefferson had been snubbed while there were a lot of other players mentioned in the list.

The ESPN show is run by multiple people, including Keyshawn Johnson, a former NFL WR himself. Perhaps, that is why Carter was so offended when he saw their list. The hosts of the show went on to make up a list that indicated the top five receivers of the league. However, even though the list mentioned players like Tyreek Hill and Ja’Marr Chase, it did not even include Jefferson.

The list itself is very confusing, considering how it ignores a WR with the kind of record Jefferson has cemented in the past few years. As it went viral, Carter took to Twitter to speak about how the list makes no sense. He went on to indicate that maybe the hosts of the show need to go in a different direction. His tweet made it clear that he was not happy with the way the members of the show had behaved. He even said, “#CmonMan a top five wide receivers list in the @NFL and Justin Jefferson does not make the list @KeyJayandMax time to turn the channel.”

In all fairness, the HOFer’s reaction might just be valid. Not including Jefferson in a list of the best wide receivers seems almost preposterous, given the way he has played during the past season as well as the seasons before that.

It seems like Jefferson was snubbed after the members of the show released their list. After all, Jefferson has proven himself in terms of stats. In terms of the list, there was Ja’Marr Chase on it and Jefferson has been in the league longer than him, with a more productive time in the NFL. Jefferson also leads the league in receiving yards, with 4,825 yards. He outranks other players like Tyreek Hill as well as Davante Adams, both placed number one and number two on the list.

The only stat line that these WRs have over Jefferson is touchdowns, which Jefferson does lack. However, he has had more success than the highest member of the list. There seems like there is no reason for Jefferson to be not included on the list.

All in all, it is almost inexplicable why JJ has been left off of that list. It even justifies Carter’s outburst. However, it only remains to be seen if the members of the show take to Twitter to revert to Carter’s stern words.
