Teddy Bridgewater-led Carolina Panthers endured a tough outing in the league on Sunday. The NFC South franchise succumbed to a narrow 27-24 loss at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees led the Saints to their fourth win of the season as the visitors succumbed to their fourth loss of the ongoing 2020 NFL campaign.

Bridgewater went 23 0f 28 with 257 yards and two passing TDs to his name. However, he could not do enough to hand his team a win as they now sit third in their division behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints.

While Bridgewater’s ‘comeback season’ is not going as per plan, the seasoned NFL quarterback is trying to bring about a change in his neighborhood. 27-year-old Teddy has proven time and again that he more than just a ‘football player’. Here’s a throwback to when he appeared to support his high school team at the State Championship.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater leads by example

Teddy Bridgewater was playing for the New Orleans Saints last season. His NFL comeback story is an inspiration for many budding athletes. Bridgewater suffered his infamous ACL tear and knee dislocation while playing for the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.

After spending a gap of four years on the sidelines, Bridgewater wrote the first chapter of his comeback story when he started the final game of the regular season for NFC South’s New Orleans Saints. Following a successful stint with the Saints, Bridgewater was traded to the Carolina Panthers in the 2020 offseason.

However, the seasoned NFL quarterback is also known for his philanthropic activities. Bridgewater supports the cancer awareness program, runs neighborhood toy drives and other community projects.

Last year, he made it a point to his High School team’s State Championship final. Miami Northwestern Senior High won their third-straight State Championship title. Bridgewater watched happily as his former school lifted their trophy in front of 10,00 supporters.

Teddy Bridgewater went to Northwestern senior with Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper. The former Minnesota Vikings man maintained that it was necessary to ‘lead by example’. One year later, we see Bridgewater doing exactly what he preached with the Panthers.
