Bündchen was a highly acclaimed model. She had been working with the American clothing brand since 1996. She had been a very prolific model for the brand, making her really famous and very highly paid. In fact, while modeling for the brand, Gisele was one of the highest-paid models in the world. She had signed with the brand at the mere age of 19.
In 2006, Bündchen was offered an extension on her offer for two more years. While making such a monumental decision, the model revealed in her memoir her real reasons for leaving. There were certain factors that the model had to consider while she made the decision. She had a slight issue with the way her modelling clothes made her feel uncomfortable. In her memoir, she said, “For the first five years, I felt comfortable modeling in lingerie, but as time went on, I felt less and less at ease being photographed walking the runway wearing just a bikini or a thong. Give me a tail, a cape, wings—please, anything to cover me up a little!”
