Midway through the season, Fins Up! had become quite a motivational cry for all the Miami Dolphins fans. After acquiring a dynamite at wide, Tyreek Hill and drafting Jaylen Waddle to form the most explosive receiving corps in the league. Combined with the throwing ability of Tua Tagovailoa, the team had actual hopes of putting a title charge. However, the misfortune of their QB in injuries has haunted them this year, but many were hoping to see him back for the postseason. Now with three days to for the wild card round, they have another disappointing news for the fans.

After the team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, Tua was placed in the concussion protocol. The QB has since been on the sidelines nursing himself back to full health. While there were hopes for a return for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Mike McDaniel has announced that Tagovailoa has not been cleared to resume football duties.

This will leave the team without their first-choice shot caller. Besides the injury of Tua, QB2 Teddy Bridgewater is also questionable to play as he is out with a finger injury. It would be the rookie, Skylar Thompson, who would step on the field to take on the Bills and Josh Allen for a win-or-go-home game.

With Tagovailoa, the Dolphins have played 13 games, out of which they won 8 times. However, without him, the team has gone 1-3 for the season. They should thank their wild-card-round rivals for defeating the New England Patriots. Which gave them the opportunity to grab the last wildcard spot with a win over the offensively limited New York Jets in a game that finished 6 and 11.

Even in that game, they had to depend on Thompson, who led a 3-minute 36-yard drive to help kicker Jason Sanders get a 3-point lead. Later the defense for safety finished the game in lead with 5 points.

Whenever Tua has been fit, he has been firing. In 13 games, the 24-year-old has thrown for 3548 yards and 25 TDs. But the injuries afflicted on the player have seriously cast a shadow of uncertainty over his future. NFL GOAT, Tom Brady has been heavily linked with the Dolphins. The organization tried to unite Brady and Sean Payton but had the move torpedoed by bad press from former HC Brian Flores.
