During Friday’s practice session, the former San Francisco 49ers assistant coach sported a T-shirt with the quote, “I wish it were colder.” This was a clear dig at Miami’s Sunday Night Football opponents, the Buffalo Bills. The Bills Mafia didn’t appreciate the subtle dig, given the fact that the 10-3 Bills sit at the top of the division.

39-year-old Mike McDaniel didn’t get the anticipated response from this banter-filled tweet. And it wasn’t just the Buffalo Bills fans who were irked.

The Miami Dolphins fans weren’t impressed with McDaniel’s antics either, considering they lost their last two regular-season games against the 49ers and the LA Chargers. This has put their great season start and potential confirmed playoff berth in great doubt. And fans think their head coach should get a little serious right about now.

Mike McDaniel won the last matchup between the rivals this season and will look to repeat

The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills met in Week 3 of this season where the Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa-led side won 21-19. This victory came despite Buffalo QB Josh Allen putting up a mammoth 400-yard 2-touchdown game. However, it was Miami’s efficient running game that rescued the game with Chase Edmonds scoring 2 rushing TDs.

However, Buffalo fans seem to be more excited for the Josh Allen – Christian Wilkins rematch on Sunday than the cold. The pair engaged in a heated altercation in their Week 3 game that got Allen his second even penalty flag in his career. Fans can’t wait for Tua, Tyreek Hill, and Co. to step into the cold.

It’s very apparent that Mike McDaniel believes in mixing the right amount of work and playing for the best possible mindset for games.
