Not just the football community but the entire global sporting fraternity haven’t ever seen a deal close to what Patrick Mahomes got. The Kansas City Chiefs signed him for 10 years in exchange for approximately half a billion dollars. The contract itself is a world record that shocked many. However, most people associated with the NFL believe that Mahomes deserves such a contract, given his consistent performance over the last two years.
And now, there’s Tyreek Hill who thinks that the 24-year old quarterback is worth more than the half-billion dollars that he originally signed up for.

Patrick Mahomes is the best deal the Chiefs have
Recently, the Chiefs wide receiver appeared for an interview with TMZ where he praised his club managers for signing Mahomes. The 26-year old is also hopeful that time will be on their side when they play this season.
Hill said, “I mean, hell, I thought he was worth even more! I’m proud of my boy, Pat, man! I’m really happy for him, I’m proud of just the Chiefs in general for getting all these deals done, man. Cause they understand right now is our time, like this is our window to be great, for us to build that dynasty and I’m just happy to be along with them.”
Two weeks ago, Patrick Mahomes’ agent, Leigh Steinberg tweeted details about the deal. He wrote, “Congrats to @PatrickMahomes on agreeing to terms on a 10-year extension worth $503 Million. He gets $477M in guarantee mechanisms and the ability to have outs if guarantee mechanisms aren’t exercised. No trade clause. First half billion dollar player in sports history. History made.”

Mahomes is the new money man of the NFL
It was also revealed that the Super Bowl-winning quarterback would make at least $140 million over 10 years in case he’s unable to continue with his career due to injuries. Mahomes has become the first sportsman in the NFL’s history to sign a deal worth upwards of $500 million.
