Sunday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills was exciting for a number of reasons. A close game that went into overtime, with bad officiating by the referees, and a goal line fumble by the Bills resulting in a Vikings touchdown. It had all the necessary spices one expects out of a game. But on the sidelines, fans tuning in to the Vikings’ play-by-play had an extra bit of drama to enjoy, as they do with every game. Vikings’ commentator Paul Allen managed to capture fans’ hearts once again with his colorful and entertaining commentary.

A video showing Paul Allen jumping around as the Vikings inched closer and closer to victory emerged after the game. And it is the most delightful thing ever. The clip includes snippets from when Justin Jefferson made his one-handed catch. Till when the Bills fumbled on their own goal line. The animated scenes Allen put up are hilarious to watch.
The final few minutes of regular time, and overtime in its entirety, was a stressful period for a lot of fans. And the mix of emotions is very clearly visible on Allen’s face. As a Vikings’ play-by-play commentator, his biased commentary lives up to the hype most Vikings fans have come to expect of him now.
NFL community amazed at Vikings’ commentator Paul Allen’s charismatic show
As the video made its way to social media, fans all across the spectrum expressed their take on his antics. A large majority absolutely adored him for his theatric addition to the game. Whereas, some do wonder if a professional should engage in a such hyperactive commentary. But the fact is, his performance is what Vikings fans tune in to hear, and it is exactly what he gets paid for too.
This is magical. Just an absolute pro. https://t.co/pF72V9vZ39

Those saying that he is supposed to be a professional… You evidently don't listen to your team's broadcast crew. There is a reason he is paid by the Vikings ownership, and that does not include being impartial.

Vikings fans will be expecting to hear more of Paul Allen as they set to face the Dallas Cowboys next week. The Cowboys, having lost to the Green Bay Packers this week, will be looking to once again project themselves as a championship-contending team. The Vikings, on the other hand, are riding high on their 7-game win streak, having only lost to the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Will the Cowboys manage to tie a noose around the high-flying Vikings? Or will the rampant raiders from Minnesota kick them off their horses?
