Any Gridiron enthusiast would recognize Wes Welker as a storied part of the NFL legacy. He ran the yards to sling passes from Tom Brady during their New England Patriots days. Even though he is not playing anymore, the receiver exists in the league as a WRs coach for the Miami Dolphins. However, the ex-NFL WR is still unhappy with the organization after he got denied the disability benefit.

The former New England Patriots star took to Twitter to slam the NFL’s disability plan after the Disability Initial Claims Committee denied his application for disability benefits. After publicly sharing the email, He called the ruling “bush league” on Twitter.

 

Wes Welker tweeted, “[NFL] ⁩I don’t have the time or patience for this. Been an employee of the NFL for 18 years and still going. This is bush league stuff!

According to the Committee’s statement, Dr. Hussein Elkousy could not rate his different procedures because of the absence of supporting material in Welker’s medical records. The reports also claimed there were no documentation showing that they conducted the measures in response to injuries incurred while performing in the NFL.

Wes Welker was the embodiment of a football player. The former New England Patriots made the Pro Bowl four times and was a five-time All-Pro. However, even Hulk had to face the consequences after the snap. Apart from the concussions and hits, the Ex-NFL WR experienced a legion of injuries; Groin injury, a knee sprain, an ACL tear, an ankle strain, and a back sprain. All in different years.

Despite the infamous ball drop in the Super Bowl XLVI, Tom Brady always keeps Wes Welker in high regard. According to a Boston Herald transcript, Brady stated nobody could define what it took to be a terrific player or do brilliant work like Welker. He had a fantastic career with the Patriots, but they could not win any Super Bowls. However, this in no way diminishes his outstanding course or services.

Brady said, “If I’m starting a team to go to battle with, Wes Welker is in that starting lineup.” The comments would look like the GOAT would love to recruit him back. Welker withdrew without a championship ring, which many will remember as a hole. However, his presence in the NFL persists, and the chance to earn a Super Bowl win looks inevitable.
