Lombardi thinks that these demands are just bizarre. Murray already has a couple of seasons on his existing contract. The broadcaster also says that the Cardinals quarterback has been performing poorly in the latter halves of the last two seasons. He is clearly not a fan of Murray’s way of committing to his team.

Murray has a proposal for Arizona. The quarterback has mentioned through Burkhardt that his loyalties lie with the Cardinals. Kyler “desperately wants to win the Super Bowl.” He is very future-driven and did not forget to mention that he led the Cardinals from a three-win season to eleven win season. The quarterback believes he helped the team get to the playoffs for the first time in five years.

The athlete wants long-term stability for his dedication to the franchise. He wants to stay with the Cardinals for years to come. In the end, the statement says it’s up to the Cardinals if they want to “prioritize” their rapidly improving quarterback. In order to do that, they have to make some changes in Kyler’s salary.

He adds, “Don’t let the fact he has two more years on his current deal affect the story or the fact he has played poorly the last half of the season two years in a row.” The journalists then went on to call the statement a “JOKE.” Lombardi believes that this is nothing but an attempt by the quarterback to get some extra bucks in his pocket.
