Baltimore Ravens announced on Tuesday they will cut Le’Veon Bell. Le’Veon was signed to the Ravens practice squad in September to help with the team’s injury-plagued backfield. Baltimore isn’t having great luck this season as injuries have sidelined two of their backs. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards both suffered season-ending injuries before the start of the regular season. After cutting Bell, the Ravens only have three active running backs, Nate McCrary, Ty’Son Williams, and Murray Freeman.

Bell only stepped on the field five times in a Ravens shirt. He didn’t have the best highlights this season as he only rushed 31 times for 83 yards. His average has been 2.7 yards per attempt, which is an all-time career-worst for the 29-year-old. He has only caught one pass for less than a yard on two targets. During his brief time with the Ravens, Le’Veon bagged two touchdowns.
Le’Veon Bell hasn’t been the same since sitting out the 2018 season due to contract conflicts with the Steelers, according to fans. Bell has traveled all over the country to play football in the past two years. The Jets, Chiefs, and Ravens have all signed him. The Juice hasn’t delivered at the level he believed.
This has made him the center of criticism by the fans. They call him washed up. As a reply to this, Le’Veon Bell has updated his Twitter bio and added, “#Washed #FellOff #Slow #BadRapper #WashedTalent #Greedy #LetDown #Old #OverRated Anything else I’m forgetting?”
After being released, Le’Veon Bell issued a statement on Twitter

If no other teams pick up Le’Veon by the end of the season, he will become a free agent. Do other teams even want to pick up a 29-year-old running back who hasn’t been able to perform at his peak? Is this the end of Le’Veon Bell’s 8 year NFL career?
